Terms of Service
Effective: April 26, 2026 · Last updated: May 30, 2026
TL;DR
- You own your journal content. tellmint processes it only to provide and improve the product as described here and in the Privacy Policy.
- AI features can be useful, but transcripts, summaries, tags, emotion labels, reminders, and Mint Reflect answers can be wrong.
- Pro and Max are Google Play subscriptions. They renew until canceled in Google Play. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
- Refunds and withdrawal-related payment handling are managed through Google Play and Play Console. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.
- Crash reports and speed diagnostics are on by default so we can keep the app reliable, and you can opt out in Settings.
1. Using tellmint
By downloading, installing, or using tellmint, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
tellmint is operated by Klarfels, Inhaber Dusko Susa, Amselweg 11, 37441 Bad Sachsa, Germany.
2. What tellmint does
tellmint is a voice journaling and task capture app. It records voice notes, creates transcripts and structured entries, powers reminders, search, Mint Memory, Pattern Sky, and Mint Reflect.
The product is meant for personal note-taking, reflection, and task capture. It is not a medical, legal, financial, therapy, crisis, or emergency service.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of your content. We process your entries, transcripts, memories, audio sent for transcription, profile context, and chat context to run tellmint and the features you choose to use.
You give tellmint the limited rights needed to store, process, display, sync, search, export, and analyze your content inside the product. This license exists only so we can provide the service.
We do not use your journal content to train AI models.
4. Accounts and plans
You can start with an anonymous account. A signed-in account may be required for some sync, export, restore, billing, or support features. tellmint currently offers Free, Pro, and Max plans with different usage limits.
Plan limits are shown in the app before purchase where relevant. Limits may include monthly recording count, maximum recording length, Mint Reflect messages, chat write actions, Fresh Insights, and top-up credits. Top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase unless a longer period is required by law.
5. Subscriptions, payments, and cancellation
Paid Android subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed through Google Play. Google Play shows the price, billing period, taxes where applicable, trial terms if any, and confirmation flow before you buy.
Pro and Max subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime in Google Play subscription settings. After cancellation, paid access normally continues until the end of the already-paid billing period.
Deleting the tellmint app, deleting local app data, deleting your tellmint account, or signing out does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Subscription cancellation must be done through Google Play.
If you reinstall tellmint or move to a new device, use the same Google Play account and the in-app restore flow where available so tellmint can recover your entitlement.
6. Refunds and consumer rights
Refund requests for Google Play purchases are handled through Google Play and Play Console. You can request a refund from Google Play, or contact tellmint support with your Google Play order ID so we can review the order where it is visible and eligible. Approved refunds are processed through Google Play and may end paid access immediately.
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer protection rights, withdrawal rights, warranty rights, or other rights that cannot legally be limited under the law that applies to you.
7. AI features, transparency, and accuracy
tellmint uses AI to transcribe recordings, classify entries, summarize content, extract tasks and dates, suggest tags and domains, estimate emotion and importance, generate insights, create memories, power semantic search, and answer Mint Reflect requests.
AI output is generated automatically and may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or mismatched to your intent. Emotion labels, importance scores, patterns, and reflective prompts are estimates, not facts about you.
You are responsible for reviewing important transcripts, tasks, reminders, dates, exports, and AI replies before relying on them. Do not use tellmint as the only place for urgent reminders, medical information, legal deadlines, safety-critical tasks, or emergency needs.
tellmint does not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. AI features organize and retrieve your own content; they do not determine your rights, eligibility, credit, employment, medical treatment, or access to essential services.
8. Telemetry, analytics, and diagnostics
tellmint uses three different categories of telemetry:
- Crash reports and speed diagnostics: on by default, content-free, used to fix failures and performance problems, and can be turned off in Settings.
- Product analytics: off by default, enabled only if you opt in, used to understand navigation and feature usage.
- First-party aggregate product statistics: tellmint may store content-free internal counts such as screen opens, recording counts, durations, widget launches, and notification interactions so we can understand whether features are being used even when analytics consent is declined.
The tellmint website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement via Google Consent Mode v2. Google tags load in a cookieless “denied” state by default and only set cookies and enable full measurement after you accept; if you reject, no cookies are stored. See the Privacy Policy for details and how to withdraw consent.
9. Security and storage
tellmint stores app data in Google infrastructure in europe-west1 (Belgium) and protects it with HTTPS/TLS in transit and Google-managed server-side encryption at rest. This is not end-to-end encryption.
10. Acceptable use
You may use tellmint for personal note-taking, journaling, reminders, reflection, and task capture. You may not use tellmint to break the law, abuse the service, bypass limits, interfere with security, reverse engineer paid access, upload malware, harass others, or process content you have no right to process.
We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe the service is being abused, attacked, used fraudulently, or used in a way that creates legal, security, or operational risk.
11. Deletion and export
You can export your data and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes synced tellmint data and starts a fresh local account on your device.
Account deletion does not cancel an active Google Play subscription. Cancel subscriptions in Google Play first if you do not want future renewal charges.
12. Availability
We try to keep tellmint available and reliable, but uptime is not guaranteed. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, or third-party outages.
13. Third-party services
tellmint depends on third-party services such as Google Play, Firebase, Google Cloud, Vertex AI, RevenueCat, OpenRouter, Cloudflare Turnstile, and Resend. Their services may have their own terms, privacy practices, availability limits, and account requirements.
14. Limitation of liability
tellmint is provided with reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee that every AI output, reminder, sync event, search result, insight, export, or notification will be correct, complete, or available at all times.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or mandatory statutory liability. For simple negligence, liability applies only for breach of essential contractual obligations and is limited to foreseeable, typical damage.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by German law, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Please contact us first through Support so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
16. Changes
We may update these terms as tellmint changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, provide an in-app or website notice.
17. Contact
If you have a question about these terms, contact us through Support.
