Terms of Service

Effective: March 29, 2026 ยท Last updated: March 29, 2026

TL;DR

  • You own your journal content. tellmint processes it to provide the product.
  • AI features help organize and search your notes, but they are not perfect.
  • Optional product analytics stays off until you opt in.
  • Crash reports and performance telemetry are on by default so we can keep the app reliable, and you can opt out in Settings.
  • Website analytics runs only after cookie consent.

1. Using tellmint

By downloading, installing, or using tellmint, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What tellmint does

tellmint is a voice journaling and task capture app. It records voice notes, creates transcripts and structured entries, powers reminders, search, Mint Memory, Pattern Sky, and Mint Chat.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of your content. We process your entries, transcripts, memories, and chat context only to run tellmint.

We do not use your journal content to train AI models.

4. Accounts and plans

You can start with an anonymous account. A signed-in account may be required for some sync, export, or subscription features. tellmint currently offers Free, Pro, and Max plans with different usage limits.

5. AI features and accuracy

AI features are designed to help, not to make decisions for you. Transcripts, summaries, task extraction, reminders, and Mint Chat answers can be wrong. Review anything important before acting on it.

6. Telemetry, analytics, and diagnostics

tellmint uses three different categories of telemetry:

  • Crash reports and speed diagnostics: on by default, content-free, used to fix failures and performance problems, and can be turned off in Settings.
  • Product analytics: off by default, enabled only if you opt in, used to understand navigation and feature usage.
  • First-party aggregate product statistics: tellmint may store content-free internal counts such as screen opens, recording counts, durations, widget launches, and notification interactions so we can understand whether features are being used even when analytics consent is declined.

The tellmint website uses Google Analytics only after cookie consent.

7. Security and storage

tellmint stores app data in Google infrastructure in europe-west1 (Belgium) and protects it with HTTPS/TLS in transit and Google-managed server-side encryption at rest. This is not end-to-end encryption.

8. Acceptable use

You may use tellmint for personal note-taking and journaling. You may not use tellmint to break the law, abuse the service, bypass limits, or upload content you have no right to process.

9. Deletion and export

You can export your data and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes synced tellmint data and starts a fresh local account on your device.

10. Availability

We try to keep tellmint available and reliable, but uptime is not guaranteed. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, or third-party outages.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as tellmint changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, provide an in-app or website notice.

12. Contact

If you have a question about these terms, contact us through Support.
