Where to find it
Settings → Your Data → Export My Data.
What you get
Full export (JSON)
Complete structured export that includes:
- Your profile fields (nickname, age, city, people, places, interests, about-me).
- Your settings (theme, note style, summary style, notification preferences, consent toggles).
- Entries: all fields, including transcripts, summaries, tags, domains, emotions, due dates.
- Mint Memory: memories, memory summaries, and AI profile if present.
Entries spreadsheet (CSV)
Just the entries in a tabular format for Excel, Sheets, or Numbers, no nested structures, ready for sorting and filtering.
What is not in the export
- Mint Reflect chat history. Chat conversations live only on your phone, not on our servers, so there is nothing to export. If you want a copy, screenshot the chat.
- Billing state (subscription details), managed by Google Play, not tellmint. Check your Google Play account for that.
- Embeddings: the mathematical vectors used for semantic search; not meaningful on their own.
- Internal AI trace data used for debugging the pipeline.
- Admin flags: internal role markers.
- Usage counters: ephemeral monthly quota tracking.
How the export flows
- Tap Export My Data.
- A progress dialog appears: "Preparing your export… Gathering entries, memories, and profile."
- When ready, the system share sheet opens with both files attached.
- Send them to yourself (email / cloud drive) and keep the copy.
Good to know
- Rate limit: one export every 24 hours. This prevents accidental repeats and protects the backend.
- Big journals take longer. A few hundred entries exports in seconds; a few thousand can take up to about two minutes. Keep the app open until the share sheet appears.
- Your audio is not in the export. Audio files are not kept in the cloud; your entry text and metadata are the durable record.
- "AI debug fields" means internal trace data: prompt snapshots, token counts, model versions. They exist so the team can diagnose issues, they're not about your journal content, and we leave them out of the export on purpose.
- The CSV opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers, UTF-8 encoded.
- If you're offline, the export can't be generated. Try again when you have a connection.
- If the export fails, you'll see an inline error, no data is lost and you can retry.
Plan & limits
No plan gating. Every user can export, on any plan, including guests.
