Feed, thoughts, and tasks

The home screen. A scrollable list of everything you've recorded, with the newest entries on top. Thoughts and tasks live on separate tabs.

Where to find it

Bottom navigation → Feed (default).

Layout

  • Header: a tappable pill showing your streak and entry count. Tap it to open Insights.
  • Tabs: Thoughts and Tasks, plus filter/sort controls above the list.
  • Entry cards: one per recording, newest first.
  • Floating record button: the breathing mint circle at the bottom.

Entry cards at a glance

Each card shows the most useful bits of a recording:

  • Importance marker: tasks show a small colored dot next to the timestamp. Color shifts by importance tier.
  • Title: AI-generated, short, editable.
  • Summary: one or two lines, truncated with an ellipsis.
  • Type badge: "Thought" or "Task".
  • Due date (tasks), "Due Friday", "Due in 3 days".
  • Emotion chip: the primary emotion with subject, if detected.
  • Domain chip: one of the nine life areas.
  • Tags: up to a few, with a "+N more" indicator when collapsed.
  • Timestamp: relative ("2 m ago", "Tuesday"), refreshed automatically.
  • Completion checkmark (tasks), shows when done.

What you can do

  • Tap a card to open its detail screen.
  • Long-press a card to quick-edit title and summary inline. Focus out any field to save.
  • Swipe right on a task → toggle complete.
  • Swipe left on any entry → move to trash (soft delete).
  • Pull down to refresh: re-syncs with the cloud.
  • Filter by importance: the menu above the list: All / High / Medium / Low.
  • Sort: Newest, Most important, Oldest.

Good to know

  • The feed never reads directly from the cloud. It reads a local cache that the app keeps in sync. That's why entries stay visible offline and appear instantly after you record.
  • A brand-new recording gets a short highlight fade on its card (about a second and a half) when it lands, to help you spot it.
  • Delete is soft. Deleted entries stay recoverable server-side for 14 days; you won't see them in the feed but they're not gone forever right away.
  • Inline editing hides the record button until you dismiss the keyboard, so you don't bump the FAB by accident.
  • If a recording is still processing, the card shows a subtle processing indicator and fills in as the AI completes fields.
  • If AI processing fails, a warning badge appears on the card and you can edit the fields by hand.
