Where to find it
Tap any card in the feed, calendar, search results, or from a cited entry in chat.
Sections
- Title + summary: editable inline.
- Transcription: collapsed by default; tap to expand and read the full transcript. Your expand/collapse choice is remembered for next time. You can edit the transcript directly, tap into it, fix the words, save. The "Copy" button on the expanded view copies the transcript to your clipboard.
- Details: type, importance, domain, tags, emotion.
- Quick action bar (tasks only), a row of inline controls: mark complete, pick date, pick time, pick recurrence. Each saves immediately with a small green checkmark.
- Reflect on this: a card near the bottom with a Reflect with Mint button that opens the chat with this entry as context. On Free the button reads Unlock Reflect and opens the upgrade screen.
- Delete: the trash icon in the top app bar (not in the quick action bar).
What you can do
- Edit any field inline. A green check appears briefly on save.
- Change importance by tapping the dots.
- Switch type: a thought can become a task (and vice versa).
- Add or remove tags: tap a chip's X, or type into the tag input.
- Edit the due date with a calendar picker, or tap "Remove" to clear it.
- Change recurrence: None / Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Yearly / Custom (a custom panel opens).
- Set a reminder: see "Reminders" below.
- Complete the task: the big checkmark toggles done.
- Reflect with Mint: the button on the "Reflect on this" card opens Mint Reflect with this entry pre-loaded as context.
- Delete: tap the trash icon in the top app bar. You get a confirmation dialog, then the entry disappears from the feed. It stays recoverable server-side for 14 days before a cleanup job purges it for good.
Reminders
When you tap Set reminder you get three choices:
- Cancel: no reminder.
- Standard: a date-only notification that fires in the morning of the due date. Works without any special Android permission.
- Exact: fires at a precise time. Requires the Android Schedule exact alarms permission. If you don't grant it, tellmint falls back to Standard and shows a hint that you can enable exact alarms in Settings.
You can also pick Notification strength (Low / Normal / High) to match how loudly the reminder fires.
For a running reminder, tapping Snooze from the notification pushes it to a later time.
Good to know
- Every change is pushed to the cloud and synced across devices.
- For recurring tasks, completing or deleting opens a dialog: "This one only" vs "This and all future". Choose carefully. "This and all future" cannot be undone.
- Transcripts are editable. You can correct words you think the AI misheard. Edits save the same way as every other field.
- The processing badge only shows when tellmint saved your voice note with partial structure or processing failed. If it says Saved voice note, your transcript is safe and you can edit the entry by hand.
- Entries update live: if another device edits the same entry while you're viewing it, the screen refreshes. Unsaved local edits are discarded.
Plan & limits
No plan gating. Viewing and editing work the same on Free, Pro, and Max.
