Where to find it
Insights is not in the bottom nav. Two ways in:
- Feed → stats pill at the top. The pill shows your streak and entry count.
- Profile sheet → Insights. Tap your avatar in the top-right of the feed to open the profile sheet; Insights is one of the Your Insights tiles.
The shared time filter
A single 7 days / 30 days / All time selector sits above the three tabs. Cards that depend on a time window respect it. Some cards on the Action tab are always cumulative by design (Mint Knows, Fresh Insight), they're scope-labeled so you can tell them apart.
Tabs
1. Overview
The "how have I been feeling?" view.
- Weekly narrative deck: short, human-readable story of each week, generated from your entries.
- Hero stats: headline numbers for the current period (entries, streak, completion).
- Top signals: a ranked list of the strongest patterns in the window.
- 30-day mood pattern: a color strip of the last 30 days.
- Year in pixels: a heatmap grid: one pixel per day, colored by mood.
2. Patterns
The "what's going on structurally?" view.
- Your emotional flow: how emotions shift through the window, with a comparison strip against the previous window.
- What you've been feeling: a ranked breakdown of emotion frequency. The green banner names the leading emotion and describes how dominant it is in plain language (from "clearly dominating" at the high end, down to "the most common thread in a scattered window" when feelings are spread wide).
- When you reflect: the time windows (Morning / Afternoon / Evening / Night) when you tend to record, and how those windows tend to feel. Each bar gets a share-aware sentence — the dominant bucket gets phrases like "Most of your reflection happens at night", while quieter buckets scale from "often" down to "rarely" and "almost never".
- What's on your mind: repeated ideas and tag chips from entries in the window, colored by average valence.
- Pattern Sky entry tile: leads into the full Pattern Sky.
3. Action
The "what should I focus on?" view, coaching and insight narrative.
- Fresh Insight: on-demand AI narrative. See Fresh Insight.
- Mint Knows meter: how deeply Mint understands you. See Mint Knows.
- Open loops: unresolved tasks, half-answered questions, recurring worries.
- What lifts you. What weighs you down.: chargers vs. drainers, based on entries where subjects appear.
- What helps you bounce back: patterns associated with better follow-up notes after rougher entries.
- Mood + momentum: how mood and follow-through combine across your days.
- Task turnaround: how fast you close what you capture.
Good to know
- Empty states are honest. If you haven't logged enough entries for a chart to be meaningful, you'll see "keep journaling and the strongest patterns will start surfacing here" instead of a misleading graph.
- Cards update live as you record.
- Pattern nudges (a subtle notification if tellmint spots a recurring pattern) are on by default. Turn them off in Settings → More settings → Personalization → Pattern nudges if they feel noisy.

Insights is free. Individual cards may have their own limits, Fresh Insight is plan-gated (see its article).
