Account and data

Is my data used to train AI?

No. Tellmint does not use your journal content to train AI models, and we do not give AI providers permission to train on your journal content on our behalf.

What AI uses your data for

AI processing happens only to provide the feature you asked for:

  • Transcribe a voice recording.
  • Turn the transcript into a thought, task, tags, emotion, and due date.
  • Create semantic search embeddings.
  • Generate Mint Reflect answers from your own journal context.
  • Extract Mint Memory facts that personalize future answers.

What is sent

Depending on the feature, tellmint may send:

  • The temporary audio file for transcription.
  • Entry text for structuring, summary, emotion, tags, and search.
  • Relevant journal snippets and recent chat context for Mint Reflect.
  • Profile and Mint Memory context when it helps answer your request.

The raw audio is not kept in cloud storage after processing. Local recordings may stay on your device so you can replay or delete them there; your structured entries and transcript text are stored so your journal can be searched, edited, exported, and synced.

Good to know

  • Mint Reflect may use a global AI endpoint for reliability, so EU-only processing is not guaranteed for chat.
  • Chat messages are not stored on tellmint servers after the response is generated.
  • Your entries, profile, and Mint Memory are included in the data export.
  • You can delete individual entries or delete your account when you want the server copy removed.
