Milestones

A quiet "you've shown up" moment that appears when you reach a round-number entry count. Think of it as a calm bookmark, not a prize.

When you'll see one

A milestone dialog appears the first time your total entries crosses one of these counts:

  • 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1,000
  • After 1,000, every 500 more (1,500, 2,000, 2,500, …)

It only triggers once per milestone. If you delete entries, it does not re-trigger when you climb back up.

What it looks like

A small card slides in over the feed with three things:

  1. The milestone number (e.g. "100 entries captured").
  2. A short line of quiet encouragement, picked at random:
  • "You've been showing up for yourself."
  • "Another small milestone, quietly earned."
  • "Your notes are building useful context over time."
  • "Steady reflection adds up."
  • "A little consistency goes a long way."
  1. A Continue button.

The dialog auto-dismisses after about 3 seconds (2 seconds if your phone has reduce motion turned on), or you can tap Continue to dismiss it sooner. A soft haptic taps once when it appears.

Where to find it

Milestones appear automatically right after you save a recording that crosses one of the thresholds above. Just open the Feed as usual and the dialog shows up over your entries.

There is no settings toggle, no inbox to revisit, and no history page. Once you tap Continue the moment is over, that's the point.

Good to know

  • No reward, no unlock. Tellmint deliberately doesn't gamify your journal. There are no badges, no XP, and nothing tied to your plan.
  • Deleting entries does not undo a milestone. If you hit 100 and then delete down to 80, your next milestone is still 250, not 100 again.
  • A fresh install starts at the right milestone. If your account already has 412 entries when you reinstall tellmint, the next milestone you'll see is 500 — the app catches up so you don't get a sudden replay of every old milestone.
  • It never interrupts recording. Milestones only appear after a recording finishes processing and lands in the feed.
  • Reduced motion: if your phone is set to reduce animations, the dialog skips the fade-in and dismisses faster.

Plan & limits

No plan gating. Free, Pro, and Max users see the same milestones at the same counts.
