Recording top-ups
Extra recordings Pro and Max users can buy when the monthly quota runs out, without committing to a higher plan. €1.99 for 100 additional recordings. Free users upgrade first.
Where to buy
- Profile sheet → subscription quota card → Buy extra recordings (appears for Pro and Max when you're close to your limit).
- Also offered inline to Pro and Max users when you tap the record button and you're at zero for the month. Free users see the Pro / Max plan screen instead.
How they work
- Consumable. You pay once, and each top-up recording depletes your top-up balance by one.
- Used after your monthly allowance. Tellmint always spends your plan quota first, then starts eating top-ups.
- Oldest top-ups go first (FIFO). If you bought batches on different dates, the oldest batch is consumed first so nothing sits around until its expiry.
- 12-month expiry. Top-ups purchased today expire on the same day next year; unused balance is forfeited.
Where you can see your top-up balance
- Profile sheet → quota card: shows "Extra recordings: X / Y" when you have any.
- Recording screen: near the limit, tells you top-ups are next.
Good to know
- Top-ups are not subscriptions. No recurring charge.
- You can stack multiple purchases. Each batch tracked separately so expiry is fair.
- Signing in is required to buy, just like with subscriptions. Anonymous users are gated.
- A Pro or Max plan is required before buying top-ups. Free users can still upgrade when they hit the limit.
- Switching plans doesn't forfeit top-ups. If you already have top-ups and change plans, your top-ups wait silently until the monthly allowance is used up.
