Getting started

Offline mode

Tellmint can capture while you are offline, then process the recording when your connection returns. AI features need the internet because transcription, structuring, semantic search, and Mint Reflect run through the backend.

What works offline

  • Open the app with cached data.
  • Record a voice note.
  • Keep a pending recording on the device until it can upload.
  • Read entries that are already cached on the device.

What waits for internet

  • AI transcription and structuring.
  • New tags, emotions, domains, dates, and reminders from the recording.
  • Semantic search results that need fresh server data.
  • Mint Reflect answers.
  • Subscription, quota, and purchase updates.

What you will see

If you record offline, the entry may appear as pending or processing. When the app reconnects, tellmint uploads the recording and turns it into the final thought or task.

If you run out of plan quota while offline, the recording may wait until the server can check your limit.

Good to know

  • Do not uninstall the app while recordings are still pending.
  • Keep the app installed and open it again after reconnecting.
  • If a pending recording stays stuck, contact us before deleting app data.
